ALL GO FOR ALL GOLDS
The Cheltenham All Golds were successfully launched on Thursday this evening at a training session at Newlands Park. Nearly a dozen youngsters took part in the session taken by University of Gloucestershire coach Ken Stone and soon got to grips with the basics of the game.
“It was a good session”, said Stone. “The boys picked things up really well and grew in confidence as they went along.”
Some of the boys had participated in last month’s All Golds Cup at the Cheltenham Rugby Festival and will be eagerly anticipating the All Golds’ next session next Thursday, again at Newlands Park with a 6.30pm start
There is still plenty of opportunity for others to join them with the first West of England Junior Rugby League festival looming on the horizon on Sunday 23 May at Old Richians, Longlevens, home of the Gloucester Meteors.
The Meteors are also in training for that and their next session also takes place next Thursday with a 6.30pm start.
